item upgrader kit upgrading allows players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For example an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth it.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. This bonus may be greater than the damage that an upgrade can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity as well as its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while an upgrade of +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also alter the stats of their base. While this is generally beneficial, it can have some negative effects as well. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. For instance, if you have chests or helms, this will increase its defense base while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it could change its roll to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will get when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button on the Best item upgrader menu, using the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.

Armor

Making a few improvements to your armor can make a huge differences in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you can get out of each point of health you have, so it's important to improve your armor as much as possible.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains available in the game, and to unlock each one you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed your main quest and the associated fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in frigid conditions with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded to +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with your friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to work on upgrading it for physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to win the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets so that you can get around a few monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, give a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a craft table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item level upgrade's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they will offer when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were some changes to potion mechanics in version 1.7.2. For example splash potions now have a duration of 0:08 (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item). The table of potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron drains the contents and refills the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions, which are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The potion table has been rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly significant such as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. They can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrading a trinket is an affordable alternative to buying a new one. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same base level as the old trinket, however, it will also come with an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they're not needed which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are a popular alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the Best item upgrade-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other gear items that they will not be replacing in the near future (for instance rings or cloaks). When choosing the items to upgrade items, players must also take into account the class's preferred stats. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket, unless it is saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying a new one.
