The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For example, you can opt for the best robot cleaner to clean up the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pull up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its path automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 has many smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum cleaners uk that's one of the most expensive available, but it packs in a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a great method of keeping your home clean for longer.

There's a plethora of settings available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
