1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its relatively low cost and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For example, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only issue is that it is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and Robots That Vacuum and Mop vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can alter its course automatically and clean them without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to take off the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.

The X40 robot hoover vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

It can also be programmed to avoid areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, and vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available and comes with numerous additional features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a good robot vacuum method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.

There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
