After a number of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally announced its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. Space Key, developed in collaboration with a non-disclosed artist and based on advanced carbon fiber composite materials that were shipped to the International Space Station as research material, is a new project which was announced by Lamborghini.

The Space Key is made of carbon composite material that Lamborghini, as part a research project in the year 2019 was sent to the International Space Station. The carbon fiber was then transformed into an original artwork when it returned to Earth. The physical element is inscribed with an NFT serial number which ties to the digital artwork with QR codes on the back.
