Its motor of 8,000pa is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot vacuums with mop mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
