World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a substantial chance that the Best item upgrader could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, Item upgrading and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading (new content from Iurium) system allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by the new item. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This causes the Best item upgrader to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like dolphins). The item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Best item upgrader upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item upgrade can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an Best item upgrade, it has a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
