The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only problem is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the robot done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling.

The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
