Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customised using an app that can save maps of your home as well as set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. They also let you change suction power and fine-tune how much water and scrub action your mop makes use of.

The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad at over 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also comes with mop lifter technology that will lift the pad automatically as it transitions between tile and laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs to avoid soaking soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be rinsing and drying in the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty before returning to the dock. This means you can just leave it in place and forget it, only having to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank on occasion.

All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its standard mop- and vac-settings for about 160 minutes before it began to lose power and returned to its base to recharge. This isn't too far from the 180-minute time that Roborock claims, and is on par other hybrids I've tested.

It's a comprehensive, reliable product. The only drawback is that it's expensive. But its abundance of features makes it a tempting alternative for anyone who wishes to go away from their old stick vacuum and mop. We would highly recommend this vacuum if you can justify the cost.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop combination. The price is justified by the robust features, including a large vacuuming capacity and two mop heads that gyrate. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop sets available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it was able to perform well across all areas of the house, removing 98.4% of debris on all types of floors and able to lift long hair without knots. The mops were also great, achieving great cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models, due to their rotational motion as well as a strong dose of cleaning solution.

However, the L10S Ultra's main selling point is its advanced docking station that is multi-functional. The docking station emptys the dustbin into a bag for dirt, then refills the tank with water to use for mopping, and even dry mop pads. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its smart controls let you schedule regular cleaning sessions.

The L10S Ultra does not offer better performance for removing carpet debris compared to the other hybrid mop I tested. In addition, its mops aren't as capable at scrubbing away stubborn stains as those found in the top Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra's premium features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant smells, the base station dustbag, water, and Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum tanks need to be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly. It is also important to remember that the mop pads that are bought separately, must be replaced on a regular basis too.

I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. For those who are on a smaller budget, I would suggest an easier model that allows you to save money while still enjoying the convenience of hands-free cleaning at home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best rated robot vacuum vacuum and best robotic mop and vacuum mop you could buy but its cost and frequent maintenance will make it more of an option than a necessity.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that will remove dust and dirt on your hard floors while taking care of wet mess, then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful mop and robot vacuum combo comes with a strong suction force of 8,000 Pa, an impressively large battery capacity to power mopping and vacuuming and a top-of-the-line obstacles-avoiding. It even has mop rollers that clean itself as it goes, best robotic mop and vacuum which makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-cleaning to clean the mop pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs of other robots. The roller is almost entire width of the robot and is continuously supplied with clean, ozonated water from its dock. The roller scrubs the floor while collecting dirt. Dry debris is swept away with the side brushes, or swept into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro is able to dump dirty mop water in its base station where it is sucked in by the tank's heater elements and emptied into a larger storage container. The onboard tank can hold a good amount of water and can handle up to a half dozen mopping session before running out.

The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package as do most robotic vacuums/mops. It does need to be filled with clean water, however this is simple to do by cleaning the dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, if you prefer to have the option of using your own brand of cleaner. If you do choose to use this feature you'll have to purchase the brand-name cleaning solution from Eufy, which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to use your own choice of cleaners.

Like most robots, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was fast to map a room, and it easily navigated around furniture. It sat on carpets with thick piles a few times during my tests. However this could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that offers a lot of functionality at an affordable price.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum cleaner but it does have some impressive features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning a good bit of a space before returning to its dock and the vacuum's high suction is capable of removing dirt and pet hair on carpets.

The application that runs the appliance is quite dense, offering a wide choice of options for customizing the cleaning process. You can manually initiate a full map and clean of everything mapped by the device, or you can choose individual rooms, expandable zones, or even a schedule you've set up. There are many mopping options, including SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the sensors of the mops to determine the most efficient way to tidy your home as it maps the space.

The Qrevo was a great performer in our tests, like the other Roborock models that we've tested. Its navigation system is efficient in locating rooms quickly and cleaning in an organized manner. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does a great job of covering a room, leaving no major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective although it's not as sophisticated as the color camera system of the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot dangers like thick carpets however it won't always detect small things like rug tassels, or electrical wires.

The one glaring flaw of this device is the absence of a mop after vacuum mop cleaner robot option that could be a problem for those who spend a lot of time vacuuming before cleaning with their robot. There's a good alternative: the app has an option to "clean up" at the end of each vacuuming session. You can make use of the mopping features of the vacuum to get rid of the dust and traces that were left behind after vacuuming. It's a nice addition and can help the robot clean up a little bit better than its cheaper rivals.
