Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The official list below shows reserved time periods, not confirmed exams. It is important to confirm with your instructor if the final exam for a course will be scheduled during this time.

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification tests. Faculty may find their exam times by using the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for those courses that are required to take an exam as per NYSED regulations. For evening classes, final exams are scheduled during the normal class time during the final week of exams.

Registration

The exam schedule is available online, and students are encouraged to review it. It is important to keep in mind that the final schedule of exams may change at any moment. This is why students should consult their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also print out the official list to take with them to the exam.

In addition to the exam schedule, students should also familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines, conditions and terms. These can be found on the page for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agree to the terms and conditions upon registration.

Exam sites make every effort to accommodate those with special needs. The nature and extent of these needs should be noted on the registration form, and then confirmed by a doctor's attestation. The locations of the exam must adhere to confidentiality.

If students are scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they must contact their department or instructor to schedule a retake test. Practice assessments give you an overview of the format, wording and difficulty of questions on the exam. They allow you to assess your level, discover gaps in knowledge and improve your chances of passing the test.

Please note that the examination fee is not refundable. Exam results can only by electronically sent, not via phone.
