1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot cleaner robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot accomplish this feat. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, while not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house at the same time. These bots also have various additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock makes some of our most expensive robot vacuum loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is an area where cheaper robot vacuums can really be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It also comes with an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does it all.

However, if you're looking to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic vacuum cleaner There are many alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper, but offers more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile and even high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, simply snap on one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app guides you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and [Redirect-302] have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It remembers what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it started.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
