Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales according to their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the effectiveness of your armor and weapons. This can be done through a number of means such as the use of upgrade components and also upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their stats.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use but it's not been applied to gear yet, you can move the Best item upgrader to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

If you want to remove the glyph from an item you must save it using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed that it was installed in, but you can recover the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards, so this should not be considered a loss.

Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you take it down. You can also place an inscription on your equipment to make it more valuable. Deferred Damage, for example can store damage, and be distributed slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is beneficial for those who take a lot damage from enemies, but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to change the affixes that are placed on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as mystery boxes or rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with an affix randomly chosen and usually better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve the weapon's stats to increase damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items do not appear on the menu for upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button", you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will alter the design of the item's window, and allow up to six items to be selected to recycle. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. They plan to add an ingredient that allows players to alter their race in the future.

Leveling

There are many ways to level up an item upgrade. The first way to level up an upgrade to an item level upgrade is by increasing the upgrade amount. This increases the value of upgrading a stat.
